The Barbados Garrison was established in 1780 as the largest in the Bristish colonies with their primary role as defender the island from invasions. Since then, the Garrison has contributed significantly to the area, especially in terms of architecture. Historic, architecturally memorable buildings in the area include St. Ann’s Fort, which is now home to the Barbados Defense Force; the Main Guard; the Barbados Museum and Historical Society, which was originally a military prison; the George Washington House, where the president of the United States stayed in 1751 as well as the Pavillion Court which served as the Garrison hospital. One of the main and most sought after attractions is the world’s largest collection of 17th century English Cannon and the Garrison Savannah, which is home to the Barbados Turf Club and hosts horse racing on Saturdays throughout the racing season.

An honor for Barbados, being recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site creates a national identity for the island. The historic buildings offer greater value to the area as well as creating a tourism destination that is rich in history and heritage along with one of the world’s most popular tropical vacation destinations.

Guests looking for an educational and memorable vacation while in the tropics will enjoy a stay at Island Inn. An all-inclusive, Island Inn getaway includes hotel accommodations, breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea and all beverages (except specialty wines, champagne and bottled water) as well as in-pool scuba lessons (available upon request). Nashville, Tennessee

Although a large city by Tennessee’s standards, boasting some skyscrapers, Nashville has a small town feel. If you like music, then Nashville could be your best bet for a summertime vacation. By day, grab a cheeseburger in paradise at Rotier’s and then a chocolate shake down the street at Elliston Soda Shop. Across the street, wander through the campus of Vanderbilt and even catch some sun on the main lawn while being surrounded by a beautiful arboretum. Head down to Market Street at night and walk into to one of many joints with live music. Duck into the Wildhorse Saloon and do a line dance before heading to Broadway for some famous honky-tonks, including Tootsies, The Bluebird Café (where Faith Hill was discovered), and Earnest Tubb. Opryland is just outside Nashville, complete with a theme park and musical shows. The people are nice, the food is great, and there aren’t many cities in the U.S. that provide so many opportunities to see live music.

New Braunfels, Texas

Originally a German settlement named ‘Neu-Braunfels,’ the city of New Braunfels is located in the heart of Texas, near San Antonio. In recent years, it has turned into an up-and-coming vacation spot with a myriad of recreational opportunities that include popular water sports.Originally a German settlement named ‘Neu-Braunfels,’ the city of New Braunfels is located in the heart of Texas, near San Antonio. New Orleans, Louisiana

There aren’t very many cities that offer as diverse an experience as New Orleans. The famed French Quarter and Bourbon Street are on everyone’s list of things to see, and besides the great restaurants and nightlife, the city is also home to Tulane and Loyola University. A walk down Magazine Street is a required trip for anyone who enjoys perusing unique boutique stores and antique shops, and both the New Orleans Mint and The Historic New Orleans Collection can give the history buff his fix. And of course there is the jazz. As the birthplace of the genre, it still boasts scores of talented local acts and clubs; Preservation Hall and Fritzel’s are a good place to start for those looking to enjoy the music.

ANJET Establishes ANJET ASIA in Hong Kong to Service Growing Private Jet Market in Region – Company to Begin Offering Exotic Travel Packages in 2012
EmailGoogle GmailStumbleUponFacebookShare

In response to the rising demand for private aviation services in the Asian market, Westlake Village, Calif.-based private jet charter company ANJET has just opened new offices in the region to complement its U.S.-based operations. Based in the thriving area of Central Hong Kong, ANJET ASIA will cater to the private aviation needs of clients in Hong Kong, mainland China, South Korea, Singapore, India, the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand and the surrounding areas. All Hong Kong-based representatives of ANJET ASIA are fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. The announcement was made today by ANJET ASIA President and CEO, Anthony Newcombe.

“Being a longtime shipping, business and shopping gateway to and from Asia, Hong Kong was a natural selection and ideal setting to designate as the flagship location around which we can build and service clients in this market,” said Newcombe. “As air space regulations ease up and the business jet concept gains momentum throughout mainland China, the Hong Kong office also eases the introduction to and development of services for this unique and flourishing marketplace.”
According to industry reports, the private jet market in this region is expected to rise 16 percent this year, with the growing number of Asia’s wealthy individuals expected to travel by private jet, chartered or owned. Aside from the growing demand for business jets, changes in government policies and attitudes in China have encouraged the industry to develop further, while recent improvements in infrastructure have also given business jet manufacturers, operators and charter companies more reasons to be optimistic. ANJET ASIA is carefully developing a select group of private jet “concierges” in the region to provide the highly-personalized level of service to which ANJET’s clients have become accustomed. ANJET ASIA’s goal is to take this service concept to a new level by introducing creative new concepts in its dealings with both business executives and wealthy leisure clientele.

In addition to the opening of the Hong Kong office, ANJET ASIA will begin offering exotic travel packages to its discerning clientele in 2012. Designated as “hot spots” or “exclusive hideaways,” the travel packages will provide a welcome relief from the daily grind of everyday “life,” or will simply be a unique, luxurious and unforgettable experience. A few examples include: the Serenity Package, an 8-day/7-night jaunt departing from Hong Kong to Thailand with a stop in Bali, Indonesia, or the Paradise Package which includes stops along the Fiji Island chain. The client will be able to tailor the trips to fit any party size (usually averaging between 10-20); designate the number of stops and selected locale(s); and the number of days they travel. Most trips would originate in Hong Kong, but could also originate from Singapore and other convenient surrounding areas. In the coming months, ANJET will also begin offering similar types of packages for destinations in the U.S., Caribbean and other global “hot spots.”

As a private jet charter company, ANJET is committed to providing its clients with the highest level of personalized service, quality aircraft, and most competitive pricing in the industry. ANJET recognizes the importance and value of time for all business professionals and works to provide quick and effective transportation for these busy individuals, eliminating the headaches and hassles associated with commercial travel.

“We have every intention of maintaining close relationships with our Online Travel Agency (OTA) partners as well as our hotels,” commented Simon Stiell, Director of Tourism for Grenada. “But we are seeing impressive results from other Caribbean destinations that have implemented Regatta and this change in our online sales and marketing strategy makes perfect sense for us. Regatta’s powerful booking engine and destination marketing expertise is an attractive combination for any destination.”

Commenting on this development, Executive Director of the GHTA, Mrs. Pancy Cross noted that “Our hotels are very excited about this project. Regatta has made itself very accessible and we are pleased about having a partner that can finally help us reach consumers at a reasonable cost.”
