Guilty Pour Homme is carefully designed for men who know what they want and who get what they want. The charismatic alpha male, a true magnet for ladies, is represented in this provocative and seductive composition. Gucci Guilty 1 oz Eau De Toilette Spray

A sheer, floral-oriental fragrance, it opens with a bright burst of citrus and a dangerous hint of black pepper. Model’s bid to end colour bar in fashion

Leonie Sherif- Model

A MODEL whose heritage can be traced to three continents is fighting for more diversity in the fashion industry.

Leonie Sherif, of Wheelers Cross, Barking, says she’s fed up seeing non-white models turned down at castings because of the colour of their skin.

The 24-year-old is fronting the Models of Colour part of a campaign called Models of Diversity, which demands the fashion and marketing industries recognise beauty in women and men of all races, ages, shapes, sizes and abilities.

She said: “In the Models of Colour section we want to highlight the fact that non-white models are under-represented in the mainstream and that racial prejudices do exist in the industry.”

Leonie, who also works as a trainee accountant, says she has experienced these prejudices herself.

“I’m a model of colour, I’m half-Caribbean, a quarter Arab and two-eighths Chinese and Seychellois, and I’ve found it can be tougher to get jobs if you’re not white. And when you do it tends to be for a certain type of job, for example an underground music video as opposed to a mainstream pop video. It’s frustrating.”

As part of the campaign Leonie helped organise a high profile catwalk show featuring people who don’t necessarily fit into the model stereotype and also asked the public what they thought about diversity in the modelling industry.

“Most people I spoke to said they wanted to see more models of colour, which is fantastic,” she said.

Leonie now plans to set up a Facebook page to raise awareness of the issue.

Francine “Niki Chin” Gordon

Fashion designer Francine “Niki Chin” Gordon is the true meaning of the word talent. Her product lines include: Niki Chin Couture, Niki Chin Urban Wear, and also Niki Chin Accessories. It makes us wonder who is the woman behind the name “Niki Chin”?

Born Francine Gordon on December 20, 1981, in Kingston, Jamaica, Francine Gordon has come a long way from dreaming of being a star to actually interviewing stars on International television shows. Francine’s fashion sense was blossoming at an early age. As a child she would use scraps of old cloth to make her dolls new clothes. As she got older, she began altering her own clothes to fit or adorning them to look more unique and trendy. In 2007, she and longtime friend, musician and photographer Harold Grate decided to start a unique clothing line. Couture and funky Urban wear became the focus of Niki Chin.

Fashion design is just a portion of her outstanding capabilities. Apart from being a clothing designer and television host, Francine is a make-up artist, hair stylist, and portrait artist. In 2004, Francine landed a gig hosting a Caribbean television show in New York called “Plush TV” and eventually made a household name for herself in the Caribbean communities.
