The OAS supports the Government of Guatemala and welcomes its commitment to investigate and clarify recent events

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OEA) approved, by acclamation, a Resolution to support the Government of the Republic of Guatemala, and welcomed the government’s commitment to investigate and clarify the recent events that have had a great socio-political impact on that country.

OAS opens review process of Anti-Drug strategy in the Americas

The Organization of American States (OAS), through the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD), opened Wednesday a review process of the anti-drug strategy in the Americas, following a proposal by the Secretary General of the hemispheric institution, José Miguel Insulza, that established reducing demand as the main target.
